Each Nahnu Plugin requires a valid license key to function. Your license covers a specific number of websites, depending on your plan (e.g., 1 site, 5 sites, or unlimited).
If you’re changing domain names—for example, when moving a site from a staging or development URL to its live domain—you’ll need to deactivate the license on the old domain and activate it on the new one.
How to Move Your License to a New Domain
Follow these steps to transfer your license key:
- Log into your Account
Go to https://www.nahnuplugins.com/account/ and log in with the email you used to purchase the plugin. Use the “Lost password” link if needed. - Go to the ‘Licenses’ section
- Find the license you want to move.
- Click “Manage Sites” next to the license key.
- Deactivate the old domain
- You’ll see a list of current activations.
- Click “Deactivate” next to the old domain.
- Activate the license on your new domain
- In your WordPress dashboard on the new site, go to the plugin’s Settings page.
- Enter your license key and click “Activate.”
Note: Just adding or removing domains in your account dashboard isn’t enough—you must also activate the key from within the new WordPress site to complete the transfer.
What About Local or Staging Sites?
- Local development sites (e.g.,
localhost) do not count toward your license limit. - Staging sites with recognized URLs (like
staging.example.com,dev.example.com) also don’t count toward your activation quota.
So there’s no need to deactivate a license when working locally.
I No Longer Have Access to the Old Domain
No problem! Here’s what to do:
- Try activating the license on your new domain.
- If you see a message that you’ve reached the activation limit:
- Go to your Account Dashboard
- Navigate to Licenses > Manage Sites
- Click “Deactivate” next to the old domain.
- You can now activate the license on your new site as usual.
Quick Notes
- You can also deactivate the license directly from the old website’s plugin settings (recommended if you still have access).
- Transferring a license doesn’t impact your renewal date or billing.
