How Webhooks Work

Webhooks are a way for one app to send real-time data to another when something happens—like a silent messenger between tools.

In the case of Woo Checkbox Webhook, when a customer checks the opt-in box during checkout and submits their order, the plugin instantly sends their data (like name, email, etc.) to a Webhook URL that you’ve set—usually from an automation platform like Zapier, Make, or SureTriggers.

That platform then “catches” the data and can trigger a workflow—like adding the customer to your email list, sending a Slack notification, or storing the info in a Google Sheet.

Think of it as a digital handshake between your WooCommerce store and your favorite tools—no manual exporting required.
