The Woo Checkbox Webhook plugin lets you send customer data from your WooCommerce checkout directly to automation platforms via webhooks. This makes it easy to trigger automations, save leads, or connect to tools like your CRM, email marketing software, or custom systems.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to set up a webhook using SureTriggers as an example—but you can also use Zapier, Make, Pabbly, or any service that can catch incoming webhook data.
Steps to Set Up Webhooks (Using SureTriggers)
1. Create a Webhook in SureTriggers
- Log in to your SureTriggers account
- Create a new Workflow
- Click “Add Trigger”
- Choose “Webhook” → “Catch Webhook”
- SureTriggers will generate a unique Webhook URL
- Copy the Webhook URL
This URL will be used in the plugin settings to send the checkout data when a user opts in.
Configure the Woo Checkbox Webhook Plugin
In your WordPress dashboard:
- Go to Woo Checkbox Webhook
- Under Webhook Settings:
- Enable the “Enable Webhook” option
- Paste the Webhook URL you copied from SureTriggers (or Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Select which data fields you want to send (e.g. First Name, Email, Country, etc.)
- Click “Save Changes”
3. Test the Webhook
- Visit your site’s checkout page
- Fill out a test order, making sure to check the opt-in box
- Submit the order
- Go back to SureTriggers (or your webhook platform) and confirm the data was received
If everything’s set up correctly, you should see the captured data in your automation platform.
Works with Any Webhook Tool
While we’re showing SureTriggers in this example, you can follow the same process with any tool that supports incoming webhooks:
- Zapier Webhooks
- Make Webhooks
- Pabbly Webhooks
- Custom Webhook Endpoints (your own server or API)
- or any other Webhooks that can catch data
Automate Anything
Once your webhook is connected, you can create powerful automations like:
- Add subscribers to a mailing list (Mailchimp, ConvertKit)
- Notify your team on Slack or Discord
- Create leads in a CRM (HubSpot, ActiveCampaign)
- Save form data in Google Sheets
- Trigger complex multi-step workflows
